TRACK INFORMATION & HISTORY
Utilizing the strong tourist business of the Eagle River area, Riverside Raceway, which was formerly named KG Raceway before being purchased by Don Scharf, is among the highest attended sports facilities in Northern Wisconsin or Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
For the coming season we will have the following classes of cars. The Wissota Sanctioned Miller Lite Mid-West Modifieds, Fire-Up Smoke Shop Street Stocks, Pure Stocks and the Family Fours. Tuesday night racing has proven to be a great night for drawing fans as most are here vacationing in the area on a Saturday to Saturday rental and the mid-week race is a perfect break. The season opens on the Sunday of the Memorial Day Weekend and continues every Tuesday night through the summer. You can also expect plenty of fan surprises during the season. The tradition
of Riverside Raceway began in 1997. The first year proved to be
a challenge from the weather as well as some other rough spots
during the year but the consensus was that the track had never
been run better nor had the drivers been treated more fairly
than they were. Since that time Riverside Raceway has proved to
be the place to be each and every Tuesday evening from Memorial
Day to Labor Day. That fact, along with a fantastic program,
makes everyone at Riverside Raceway very excited about this
racing season.
